Palm Beach Gardens’ Nevs BBQ Featured by Guy Fieri on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives”

Palm Beach Gardens’ NEVS Barbecue just landed in the national spotlight, earning a feature on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” with host Guy Fieri.

The episode, titled “Sloppy, Spicy and Belly,” aired April 24 on Food Network, showcasing the restaurant’s bold take on Texas-style barbecue. Cameras rolled in late February, capturing a menu that leans into indulgence — including a brisket-loaded sloppy joe and a deeply spiced, slow-simmered chili.

At the center of it all is pitmaster Tommy Nevill, whose path to barbecue runs through fine dining kitchens and high-profile steakhouse operations across the country. After years working in cities from Dallas to Los Angeles, Nevill returned to Florida and opened NEVS BBQ in 2022, channeling his precision and training into smoked meats.

Here, barbecue is treated as craft. Brisket is cooked low and slow over post oak wood, a hallmark of Texas tradition, while sides, sauces and even pickles are made from scratch. The result is a menu that balances technique with comfort — rich, smoky flavors paired with the kind of dishes meant to be shared.

The approach has already earned local recognition, including back-to-back People’s Choice honors at the Jupiter Beach Food and Wine Festival. Now, with a national TV debut, NEVS BBQ is bringing Palm Beach Gardens into the broader conversation around serious barbecue.

For diners, it’s a chance to experience a taste of Texas without leaving South Florida — one plate of brisket at a time.
