Carmine’s Gourmet Market Coming to Boca Raton in 2027

BOCA RATON, Fla. — One of Palm Beach County’s best-known gourmet markets is heading south.

Carmine’s Gourmet Market and Carmine’s La Trattoria will open near downtown Boca Raton in early 2027, anchoring Glades Station, a mixed-use development planned for the southwest corner of Glades Road and Dixie Highway.

The nearly four-acre project will transform a former industrial property into a walkable collection of shops, restaurants and offices. Its three buildings will provide more than 28,000 square feet of commercial space, with separate locations for Carmine’s market and waterfront-inspired trattoria.

The setting places Glades Station within easy reach of downtown Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University, the Brightline station and Boca Raton Airport.

Carmine Giardini opened his first South Florida meat market in Pembroke Pines in 1972. He followed it with the company’s flagship Palm Beach Gardens market in 1988. That 16,000-square-foot emporium has since become a local institution, bringing together a butcher, seafood counter, bakery, delicatessen, wine shop and specialty grocer under one roof.

Prepared foods and imported Italian ingredients share space with La Trattoria, the family’s polished waterfront restaurant.

The Boca Raton outpost will be Carmine’s second gourmet market in Palm Beach County and a long-awaited expansion for the company.
