Trump Returns to Mar-a-Lago After Fiery Florida Rally

PALM BEACH, Fla. — President Donald Trump is back at Mar-a-Lago, arriving Friday evening after a fiery campaign rally in Fort Myers that featured blistering attacks on Democrats and tough talk about Cuba.

Air Force One touched down at President Donald J. Trump International Airport at 5:54 p.m. Trump stepped onto a rain-soaked tarmac at 6:07 p.m., telling reporters he was headed to Mar-a-Lago to celebrate with Fox News personalities Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt.

Trump called the occasion a “big beautiful thing,” though he didn’t explain what they were celebrating.

His motorcade departed at 6:12 p.m. as a rainbow stretched over Air Force One, arriving at Mar-a-Lago just nine minutes later.

Trump Takes Aim at Democrats

The president arrived from Fort Myers, where he spent 90 minutes firing up supporters of Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds at Florida Gulf Coast University’s packed Alico Arena.

Trump saved some of his harshest words for Donalds’ Democratic opponent, David Jolly, claiming he was “thrown out of the party like a dog.”

“A bad guy, very disloyal person,” Trump declared.

The president also drew a standing ovation when he promised to “take care of Cuba on our way back from Iran,” suggesting Secretary of State Marco Rubio would help finish the job.

No protesters interrupted the president’s remarks.

A Quick Palm Beach Stop

Friday marked Trump’s 29th visit to Mar-a-Lago since returning to the White House in January 2025 and his second visit of the fall season.

But the Palm Beach stay won’t last long.

Trump is expected to vote in person Saturday morning before heading back onto the campaign trail, with rallies scheduled in Perry, Georgia, and Michigan on Sunday.
