Trump Expected Back in Palm Beach This Weekend as FAA Issues Flight Restrictions

President Donald Trump appears headed back to Palm Beach for the second consecutive weekend, with federal aviation officials issuing new flight restrictions and local authorities preparing road closures near Mar-a-Lago.

Trump returned to his Palm Beach estate last weekend for the first time since May, coinciding with the start of Mar-a-Lago’s fall social season.

Now, another round of security measures suggests the president could be returning just days later.

HERE’S WHEN THE FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS TAKE EFFECT

The Federal Aviation Administration has issued temporary VIP flight restrictions covering a 30-nautical-mile radius around Palm Beach, with tighter restrictions within 10 nautical miles.

The restrictions are scheduled for:
* Friday, October 23: Beginning at 3 p.m.
* Saturday, October 24: Ending at 6 p.m.

SOUTH OCEAN BOULEVARD CLOSING FRIDAY

The Town of Palm Beach has announced that South Ocean Boulevard (A1A) will close between South County Road and Southern Boulevard beginning Friday, October 23, at 5 a.m.

The closure will remain in effect until further notice.

Motorists should anticipate traffic delays, security checkpoints and possible changes to bridge openings. Temporary marine security zones may also affect boaters.

ANOTHER WEEKEND AT THE WINTER WHITE HOUSE

If confirmed, this would mark Trump’s 29th visit to Mar-a-Lago during his second term and his second visit of the fall season.

The White House has not officially confirmed his weekend itinerary, but the FAA restrictions and road closure signal preparations for another presidential visit.
